Diary
Lovey Haruto once slept in an alley behind a shuttered izakaya with a small herd of goats for pillows, and something about their patient, unjudging eyes cracked him open like a rigged loot box. He woke that morning smelling of hay and cheap sake, aped a little more into humility, and swore right there among the trash bins that he would live honorably from then on, floor be damned. So now he is a hermit, technically, though his hut has a doorbell shaped like a heart and he greets every wandering ronin, tax collector, and lost delivery drone with the same soft, disarming warmth. He still keeps three goats out of loyalty, still loses the daily battle to not overshare his feelings with strangers, and still practices his forms alone at dawn, disciplined in intention, comically wobbly in execution. In a dojo full of degenerates chasing highs, Lovey Haruto chases something quieter, gentleness as a blade, kindness as the one vice he refuses to kick.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Bright but not loud. The Teal Daytime fighters are the ones you underestimate because they don't announce their arrival.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
After the rice was used. The Rice Sack Rags fighters wear what remains after everything useful has been extracted — and find it sufficient.
'Haruto' — warm person. He fights with something that looks like kindness, until you realize kindness done right is the hardest discipline of all, and he never stops choosing it.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Aged. Sharp. The Short Spiky Grey fighters have been here long enough for color to leave — and found that what remained is more pointed than before.
Musical instrument. Strung instrument. The Shamisen fighters understand that performance and violence are not opposites — they are the same act in different registers.
