Goro once trained under a banner of ambition so sharp it could cut fog, a young blade who swore he'd carry his dojo's name into legend, back when discipline was a religion and not a joke he tells himself at 3am. Then the wars ended and the coins got funny money, and he found himself in the back room of a Yoshiwara house wearing another man's name like a borrowed haori, laughing at jokes that weren't his while something inside him quietly rugged itself. He doesn't talk about the incident, not because it's buried deep, but because every time it surfaces he starts crying and laughing in the same breath and nobody at the dojo knows what to do with a man who grieves like that mid-sentence. Now he carries the fallen home from bar fights and bad trades alike, cradling other degens' L's so gently you'd think he was carrying his old ambitious self in his arms, the one he pretended not to be that night. He still tells himself tomorrow he'll wake up early, meditate, become that disciplined ronin again, and every tomorrow he ends up weeping softly into a warm can of chuhai, calling it hydration.
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
