Diary
Every sunrise finds Teary Goro cross-legged in the wet grass behind the dojo ruins, a half-burned joint cooling between his fingers like incense for men who never got a proper funeral. He used to kneel like this for fallen brothers, blade across his knees, now it's just him and the dew and the ghosts he still calls by name between laughs that turn into sobs before he notices the switch. Somehow the grass steadies him, floor of the world holding when nothing else will, and he swears his confidence ticks up a notch each morning he manages not to ape into despair before breakfast. He tells himself discipline is a schedule he can rebuild one dawn at a time, then spends the whole day carrying other men's grief instead of his own, ledger never balancing but never abandoned either. Teary Goro doesn't need the war to end again to lose something, he loses a little every day and calls it practice.”
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Hidden in plain sight. The Night Forest fighters do most of their work in the dark — not secretively, but quietly. They don't need an audience.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
Maximum exposure by choice. The Nudey Freak fighters are not unclothed by accident — they made a considered decision and stand by it in all weather.
He carried a spear through more wars than he can count and outlived nearly every man in his line. He buried brothers by torchlight and never broke — the tears came later, all at once.
Clear eyes. No filter. The unshielded gaze that sees things as they are — not as they're presented or sold.
Practical. Focused. The Hair Bun fighters pulled back what was in their eyes so they could see the whole board.
Found. Not forged. The Large Branch fighters don't wait for the right weapon — they use what's available and are surprised when this needs explanation.
