Diary
Edmundo was never born to this dojo, but he chose it the way a man chooses a hill to die on, and he's watched its rooftops longer than most of the sworn brothers who sleep beneath them. One night, half a joint deep and fully committed to the bit, he climbed up top and did his best impression of the superior he guards, barking orders in that clipped, self-important cadence, and for three glorious minutes the tiles were his kingdom. Then some junior degen actually saluted him, and Edmundo, drunk on the power and the smoke, lost his temper defending a rank that was never his, snapping at a kid over imaginary insubordination like the floor of his patience had rugged clean out from under him. He knows discipline is supposed to mean silence and stillness, and he tries, he really does, but something about rooftops and moonlight turns him into his own worst commanding officer. Regret never showed up to the meeting, so Edmundo just shrugged, lit another one, and told the moon he'd defend this dojo's honor even from himself if he had to.”
No accessory. Maximum presence. The Shirtless Runt fighters decided that bare skin is its own kind of armor — visible, deliberate, impossible to mistake.
Lived-in color. The Warm Grey background belongs to fighters who have been through enough that their edges have softened without their core changing.
The foundation. The crowd. The 2,426 who showed up and kept showing up. Degens are what the Dojo is built from — not the rare exceptions, but the persistent presence.
The name is the lore. The Poop Pride Kimono fighters have transcended embarrassment so completely that they wear the proof. Undefeated.
An old foreign word for wealth and protection stitched together. He guards something, though what changes depending on who's asking and how much they've had to drink.
Still functional. Functionally broken. The Broken Glasses fighters see a cracked version of reality and have found it more honest than the uncracked one.
After. The Messy fighters' hair tells you what happened — not what they planned, but what they went through.
Heavy, ceramic, purpose-built for one thing and used for another. The Giant Sake Bottle fighters are creative about their arsenal.
