Edmundo came to this land as a stranger and stayed as its most stubborn guard, the kind of outsider who watches every gate twice because nobody else bothers to watch it once. Under the sakura petals drifting like confetti at a rug pull, he stripped his kimono clean off, convinced some old ronin wisdom said charisma stat points live in the cold spring air against bare skin. A few petals stuck to his shoulder like a floor price nobody wanted to buy, and he stood there anyway, arms wide, waiting for the universe to mint him a higher charm score. He tells himself he is only doing this to find a quieter life, some paddy field far from drunk brawls and dice games, but the villagers who saw him now whisper his name before they whisper
